You’re a superstar, that’s what you are
Are you a big-screen star? Well, maybe your office is, or your car, or your street. The Punisher opened today. Starring Thomas Jane, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and John Travolta, this film was shot here in Tampa, along with a few Pinellas locations (Fort DeSoto, Honeymoon Island, Matt Geiger’s old house). Some of the hard-core fans of the comic book superhero have complained about the setting being in Tampa, but what the hell do they know, they’re a bunch of comic-book geeks. Anyway, local officials claim that Tampa looks pretty good on the big screen, and the director, Jonathan Hensleigh, took a lot of Tampa-centric shots. Reviews of the actual movie have been less kind (averaging a 3 of 10 rating). I intend to see the movie on Sunday. If you’ve seen The Punisher movie – or if you are IN the film, tell me all about it.
