Jake Shimabukuro, also known as “The Jimi Hendrix of ukulele” will be playing at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center on August 13. I tell you this, only because I’ve never before had the opportunity to write “the Jimi Hendrix of ukulele.” Hell, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a Jimi Hendrix of ukulele.
