Pete would be proud
While Population Statistic recently found the country with the highest output of beer, I just found the drunkest city in America. You might guess New Orleans, but you would be wrong – they tied with Spokane for 6th drunkest. According to Men’s Health, the most inebriated city is Denver. El Paso, Anchorage (Anchorage?), Albuquerque and Kansas City round out the 5 most intoxicated. Tampa comes in 16th of the 101 biggest cities, and is the highest (lowest?) ranking place east of the Crescent City. St. Petersburg was 79th, which makes it much more safe than Tampa, but Miami came in as the fifth most sober just ahead of Newark, NYC and Buffalo. So what does it mean? I think nothing. But at least now you know that’s why they call Denver the Mile High City.
