The LaBrake trial is underway. The article sums up nicely why the prosecution says he’s guilty. The defense paints LaBrake as champion of the underdog in their opening remarks. And the housing department is still trying to clean up the mess. Rachel says LaBrake is dead in the water. Hussey remembers that former Mayor Dick Greco stood up for LaBrake, and is amazed at how slippery he is. And he’s right: less stuff sticks to Greco than Slick Willy or the Teflon President. Greco, meanwhile, just got a new job with a developer.
