Kiley redux

A couple weeks after Sticks of Fire lamented the sad shape of NationsBank Park Plaza, the Weekly Planet reports on the urban oasis and even learn of a couple groups helping to save Dan Kiley’s creation. I hope they are successful.

    One major reason for the current condition of the park was never mentioned in the article: It withstood a couple of hurricane blows last year. Charley knocked the crap out of the park. Half the trees were on their side.

    This isn’t entirely about neglect.
