Thank you, thank you, thank you

I’d like to welcome each and every one of you to the new Sticks of Fire. Over the past year or so, I’ve really wanted to expand the scope and personalize the style. A lot of love, and months of hard work were necessary to reach this pinnacle, but I look at the result, and frankly I am impressed.
First things first: I am an idiot. When it comes to figuring out what characters need to be typed in order to turn your background a certain sky blue and your make your sidebars as orange as those on our trees, I’m quite clueless. So the months of hard work mentioned above was done by folks other than myself. Only through the incredible volunteer efforts of two noble gentlemen resulted in the look you see here today.
In that regard, a laurel and hearty handshake goes to John Fontana, writer of The Stonegauge as well as Boltsmag. Without his prompting and incredible generosity, you would certainly still be reading a plain boring Blogspot site. John suggested I move to WordPress, and even offered to host my site for a while, not to mention assist with personalizing the style. If he ever regretted making that initial offer, I certainly wouldn’t blame him, and I truly appreciate his support and his patience.
Likewise, a round of applesauce should be given to Brett, who writes My Addled Brain. His love and knowledge of magic CSS has been instrumental in giving this site its current appearance. My requests for adding menus, changing colors, moving things around, and a myriad of other “ideas” must have driven him nuts, but he made each of the changes quickly and expertly. To top it off, after every crazy idea of mine, Brett exclaims “no problem!” or some such nonsense.
A huge thanks goes out to both of them. And applesauce, of course.
And now, on to the tour of the brand new Sticks of Fire.

Aha, found you out! Someone’s been a busy little beaver. When are you going to officially de-commission the BlogSpot site? (I notice you’re still updating there.)

BTW: Looks like your site timestamp is an hour slow. You should set the time under your Options –> General tab to -4 GMT (and remember to manually change that during Daylight Savings).
