community columnists
The Tampa Tribune’s Community Columnists got started this past Sunday. Last week, each of the twenty columnists (including four teens) were profiled (pdf). The Seminole Heights points out that a couple of his neighbors were selected.
But within days, letters to the editor denounced the lineup, bemoaning a lack of certain segments of society, demanding to know their political leanings, and some are just bitter because they were not chosen. Another writer dismisses these complaints, looks forward to the amatuers’ writings and hopes there are no “warning messages” attached to them.

What a bunch of morons.
Remember, all teens are stupid and have no opinion on anything ever. So what they have to say is irrelevant. Jeebus. This is the second time THIS WEEK I’ve had to write that same sarcastic response to some elitist ageist jerk-wad.
And of course, the plight of the disabled can only be understood by someone with a disability. Well, what kind of disability would one need to properly commentate on the subject? Is Parkinson’s enough? Or do you have to be paralyzed?
Damn special interest asshats!

I am upset that the Tampa blogging community has not been represented. How insulting. Doesn’t the Trib realize that bloggers matter?
