Mason Dixon (real name Jimmy Crawford) has been on Tampa radios since the early 80’s, when the Q Morning Zoo was the most popular morning show by far. You used to listen to the Zoo on Q105 (new site coming soon) way back when. You know, before the Ron ‘n’ Ron show became popular on 95ynf (volume!!).

Well, Dixon was dealt a terrible blow last weekend when an out-of-control SUV hit his vintage 1971 Dodge Charger convertible. The Oldies 104.7 DJ says he feels better, and he expects to be out of the hospital in a couple weeks.

Frankly, we’re surprised this is the first time someone has tried to run him over in the last 30+ years. But seriously, it’s good to hear Mason Dixon is feeling better, and Sticks of Fire wishes him the best of luck in his recovery.

To make yourself feel 20 years younger, visit the multimedia page of the 95ynf site. There’s only one thing to see, but it’s the early 80’s all over again.

Thanks for this update. I’m shocked to learn of the accident and injuries. My daughter used to live in Clearwater, and he was her favorite radio personality by far. I’m going to e-mail her today and be sure she knows.
