This stuff is not Tampa related, but of note to netizens: The Times-Picayune has not printed a newspaper for two or three days. Like Tuesday, Wednesday’s edition was online only and featured 13 pages. Today’s is 15 pages, and I doubt they printed. The paper is getting some of its news from blogs.
Check the paper’s website NOLA.com for missing people information and inquiries, ways to donate, forums, and neighborhood specifics.
Weatherman Paul Dellegatto of Fox 13 has been using Google Earth to show viewers satellite images of New Orleans levee system and how Hwy 90 used to run along the coast through Biloxi and Gulfport.
If you want to help, the quickest way is to give money to the Red Cross. Go there now and donate. You can also drop supplies off at the St. Pete Times Forum. Or bring money to the Bucs game tonight: Houston Texans owner Bob McNair said he will match donations up to $1-million given during tonight’s game.
