Before we were married, Wifey and I took a driving trip to New Orleans. We saw the Bucs play the Saints in the Louisiana Superdome. We stayed at a nice little B&B in the French Quarter. On the way back, we took Hwy. 90, and stopped to play ro ulette at Treasure Bay (pirate ship) in Biloxi. During the journey we also toured the USS ALABAMA, docked in Mobile Bay.
The ALABAMA is listing, and all those other things are gone.

If you know of any affected college students (or their parents) I’ve put together a list of universities accepting displaced students. I’m trying to keep it updated as I find more and as others fill up.
After you have donated all you can there are still things you can do. Get out word about Hurricane Housing — a service to offer free housing and shelter to persons displaced by Katrina.
Or … 1-866-217-6255 — Air America Radio’s Public Voicemail is a way for disconnected people to communicate in the wake of Katrina.
Thanks for letting me spread the news.
