local band helping Katrina

Update Sep 5, 2005 11:20am: We collected over $1100.00. Thanks to all of you.

The JGLB plans to donate all tips received this weekend. We got a great start last night, thanks to the genorosity of our fans and the Blue Shark. So far, we have collected $446.00, and want to reach over $1,000 by the end of tonight. Please come out the The Blue Shark in Ybor City, listen to some great live, local music, and help us help our family, friends, and neighbors on the northern Gulf Coast.

I was at the blue Shark last night, are you in that band? The 80s band. It was someone’s birthday. That’s all I remember …

I’m in the band at the Blue Shark. Never before been categorized as an “80’s band” though… It was Jerri’s birthday.

depending on WHEN you hear the JGLB, you could describe us as: an 80’s band, a 50’s band, a blues band, a hip-hop band, a reggae band, a cover band, a band with over 100 original songs, a 60’s band, a country band, a 90’s band… we play songs by Ludicris, Coldplay, Limp Bizkit and Shaggy too, so we could be a contemporary band. If you come hear us, we will play anything you want if you make a contribution to disaster relief. thanks, johnny

Sorry, you’re right, not an 80s band. The girl I was with, a good friend of mine, kept telling me how sexy the singer was.
    Great band btw.
