more clothes needed

I’ve gotten quite a few emails and phone calls from people who want to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. To follow up what we did last weekend, I’ve found several families relocated to Tampa from the northern gulf coast that can use some of your unwanted clothing, and I will be collecting your donations to bring to them.

If you want to donate, here’s what I need you to do. Put all articles of clothing into bags or boxes. Please separate the items: men’s clothing in one, women’s in another, boys, girls, etc. You can throw all shoes into one box, but if you have a bunch of the same size, consider keeping those together as well. Label each box with size/gender info for easy distribution.

Leave a comment on this post indicating in which part of town you live and how many bags/boxes you might have. I’ll be emailing you later this week to coordinate a pickup or delivery, probably sometime this weekend.

[...] I’ll keep this short, Tommy o’the’Sticks has found several families in the Bay area who lost everything because of Hurricane Katrina and he is starting a collection of goods over on Sticks of Fire. If you have clothing, shoes or toys you would like to donate and live within the Tampa Bay metroplex, you may want to get in touch with Tommy on his blog. [...]

I have plenty of adult and children’s clothes to give - I have a few unsorted bags, once divided will probably be 3 or 4 bags. I live in the Tyrone area, and would be glad to help

I hope you are still collecting items for Katrina victims. I am sure it will take a long time to recover. I have ~4 bags of clothes (boys, women and mens), small appliances, small furniture pieces and many, many toys. I am also willing to purchase new items, but I am not sure what they still need. Please contact me to let me know what I can do to help.

    Thank You,
    Vandrese
