Update 13 Sep 2005 9:15am: St. Pete Times introduction.
Visitors to the St. Pete Times front page today will see a little tease for It’s Your Times. Readers of Sticks of Fire learned about the plans late last week, and readers of the St. Pete Times print edition will find out in an introductory story tomorrow.
According to the FAQs, the endeavor is to be part blog and part citizen journalism. You can help choose the topics to be highlighted, make comments regarding the main topics, and discuss it with other registered users. The Times has already invited some high profile community members to participate, and also encourages politicians to make use of the site. There are some restrictions, but nothing too outrageous. Anything posted online can be printed in the paper.
