Where did the Sticks go??

Hey folks — your friendly administrator (John F) here interupting the fun and games here on the Sticks to just let you know why the site was down this afternoon and early evening….

Well, we’re hosted by the unbelievably awesome Dreamhost web hosting network and Dreamhost happens to be in the Los Angeles area…

Anyone see where I am heading with this yet? No? There was a little problem out in the City of Angeles just in case you missed the news and it caused Dreamhost to fall down (so to speak)… As did a bunch of other web sites all around the Internet that are hosted by Dreamhost and other hosting companies based out in LA.

Sticks came back online around 8 or 8:15 this evening and there should be no more problems unless something out of our control goes wrong again. Other Bay area sites that were affected by this outage (that I know of) are Red Tide News and my own Boltsmag. Boltsmag is still down as of this writing. All sites should be back up and running now.
