tommyAfter a slight delay, the NHL season opens for the 2004 2005 season tonight. Your World Champion Tampa Bay Lightning are set to begin the defense of Lord Stanley’s Cup. For those of you who did not get a ticket, the game will be shown on the side of the Forum, just like the playoffs last year two years ago.
For more coverage on the Lightning and hockey in general, there are a couple local bloggers that can keep you up to date. The number two hockey blog, PopStat always has an opinion on the hockey goings-on, and Boltsmag follows the Lightning like a rat chases cheese.

Hah! Well, that No. 2 ranking has long since evaporated, although it doesn’t look Technorati’s gotten any more accurate on it.
I’ll gladly take a back seat to Boltsmag, and it’ll be a distant back seat. I don’t plan on a whole lot of hockey blogging, outside of its place in my usual grab-bag musings. I’d rather sit back and watch. Go Bolts!
