i’m a believer too
I believe that we’re a thoughtful lot here in Tampa. If you need more proof than all the great Tampa area blogs, check out an article entitled This They Believe at TBO.com.
It seems that National Public Radio (NPR) has invited people nationwide to submit essays for a program called “This I Believe” based on a radio program back in the 1950’s. Guess which city’s NPR listener’s were in the top four for submissions? That’s right — Tampa. WUSF, 89.7 FM listeners got right on the ball and you can too. There’s no deadline. NPR is looking for essays between 350-500 words about your heartfelt convictions or concrete beliefs. Check out the submission guidelines, make your entry, and keep Tampa looking smart.

I read this story. Interesting that Tampa is in the top four in numbers of contributors. I wonder why. The article quoted a NPR person as guessing it’s all the retirees. I don’t buy that, but it’s just a guess.
