Sticks of Fire: a Tampa blog

The Scripps newspapers on the Treasure Coast are in the middle of a blogging contest. Survivor: Blogfest pits bloggers against each other, and readers vote off one contestant each week. The eventual winner will win a laptop computer and get to continue blogging for the paper.

Blog posts (columns?) are summarized in the print edition twice a week. And the best part is there is no Jeff Probst.

What a great way for newspapers to embrace bloggers, and make more people aware of blogs. Of course, you can’t read some of the entries unless you REGISTER at the newspaper. Dammit.
