First Reginald Roundtree was pulled over after he decided to “enjoy it” a bit too much. Now Devil Rays assistant GM Bart Braun has been charged with DUI, driving at nearly twice the legal limit.
Tampa, baseball, and substance-related arrests. They really do go hand in hand.

I saw that Gino Iavarone got popped for it a few weeks back too. As has Steve Deberg of the Bucs and Eddie Guerrero of the the WWE (I am not counting the drunk and disorderly arrest of that kid from in sync sine he wasn’t in a car). This is apparently where celebreties go to get busted? It is worth noting that only Eddie submitted to a breathalyzer.

This is almost a completely worthless post, only because I can seriously think of probably twelve other “local celebrity” types that have been busted on drugs and/or alcohol, only they’ve been super-D.L. about it.
Obviously, it’s just one of those inevitabilities, if a terrible, expensive, inconvenient one that you should NEVER repeat, because, really, it is nothing like coked-up girl sex in a bathroom. At all.

Sadly, Eddie died recently. The autopsy showed the cause was natrual, although he did have an enlarged heart, more evidence of his well known and admitted abuse of ‘roids.

Actually I try as hard as I can to forget Nancy Alexander. Not sure what it is, but she rubs me in all the wrong ways.
Rachel* - I guess next time I should make my facetiousness a little more apparent - I know the DUI’s pale in comparison to the Banana Joe’s affair. Still, I can’t pass up any excuse to bring that up again.
You are right, though - I’m sure these things happen to plenty of celebrities in this and any other area without most anyone ever finding out. I’m sure Braun, Gooden and Strawberry aren’t even the only baseball-involved people who’ve been busted here.
