bocc - 28.6% committed to you

After Tommy told the bocc what’s what in regards to their no-vote to meet on public transportation needs, I decided to take him up on his suggestion to tell the board how I felt. I’m not including the original message for the sake of brevity and because it was a longer-winded version of what Tommy already said.

Less than twenty-four hours after I sent my message, I received responses from the aides for Kathy Castor and Mark Sharpe, both of whom voted in favor of the meeting; both e-mails lamented the obstacle to opening a dialogue. A day after that I received an e-mail addressed from Ms. Castor herself, saying simply, “Thank you for your e-mail. I agree with you.”

Four days after I sent the e-mail neither Thomas Scott, the other commissioner that wanted the meeting, nor any of the members of the board that voted against the talks have replied either personally or through an aide.

If I do receive any other responses, I’ll let you know, though I’m inhaling and exhaling at a normal pace.

Did anyone else follow suit? I wonder if everyone else got similar responses.

I told Ronda Storms off once and she actually replied to me late at night — and included me on a mass mailing a few weeks later over Hurricane Katrina and County plans…

If she can get back to me for telling her “the lady doth protest too much”, she should get bac to you…

…unless she only wnats to fight with people. In that case — blah.

Well heck - I made a point to sound intelligent and polite. If it’s a fight she wants, I could have definitely done that.

My fear is that she won’t provide me with another opportunity to express my dismay.

    You know, by Wednesday.
