Funny thing is this weekend I went to Atlanta, the girl driving is from Bangladesh. She tends to regard the lines on the interstate as “suggestions” when the car in front of us slowed she would straddle the line to “see what is the hold up”. My old boss used to drive his Mustang Cobra like a madman because he loved to go fast. In his words there is a difference between driving fast and driving recklessly. I don’t know, both of these people have never been in an accident or had a ticket. Maybe there is something to the assertion that some people are just better drivers and as such can push the limits further than others?

I’m sure that some people are just better drivers than others but when they do anything unexpected or fail to follow the rules of the road, the bad drivers around them may over react or suffer road rage. All drivers need to follow the rules and remember that they are not alone on the road.

Um I thought the point of being a ‘bad’ or ‘reckless’ driver is when you don’t follow the rules. And it isn’t the drivers who are guilty, it is lack of good masterplanning with the surge of development that is happening in Tampa. To have 2 to 3 ‘competing’ same type drug stores dead at an intersection or multiple banks or fast food outlets all which are easier to be served while in the freaking car leads to a very serious safety problem. Basically it’s like when your were a kid in preschool cutting people in line, except it’s with a SUV.
