A movie that was nominated for a record 24 awards, and won 11 of them was filmed right here in St. Pete. Scenes aboard the HMS Bounty and The Pier where it is docked were filmed last June, and the movie was released in September. The movie, “Pirates,” includes great special effects and a million dollar budget, and the DVD is on track to break some sales records, too. Sounds like a good DVD to add to your collection.
YOu probably won’t want this one filed next to your copies of Cop & A Half and The Punisher, though. I mean, I don’t think you want your kid seeing any of the scenes that were shot in California.
