75 years ago…

February 12, 1931 – Tampans celebrate “Shriners Day” at the fair by watching Tampa businessmen kill D. E. Pression on the corner of Franklin and Madison Streets. The symbolic embodiment of the Great Depression was then thrown into the Hillsborough River.
