surprise, surprise
In what should be a shock to Buccaneer fans, the team is raising prices again.
…And 116,000 more fans are waiting in line for those getting sick of the yearly increases.

Honestly, I think they should have raised prices by quite a bit more than that. Any time demand exceeds supply by such an enormous margin, there’s going to be economic implications down the road. Sure, raising the prices to meet demand might shut out the average fan, but, well, that’s economics. Ticket scalping would not exist if firms sold tickets at maximum utility, because they’d already be selling at the price at which a fan is willing to buy.
Long story short, people grumble about stuff like this; if you want cheap tickets, become a fan of something less popular. Like the Rays.

but then again…
I am on that waiting list and yet I never signed up for it. I started getting emails from teh Bucs announcing I was on the list and la-de-da.
If I am one person falsely placed ont eh Season Ticket waiting list, how many else are out there?
Also, did anyone else notice how many tickets were actually availible the week of home games through Ticketmaster? The season was announced as sold out the same day tickets went on sale and yet — there were tickets?
