February 20, 1906 – The Hillsborough County School Board awards a construction contract to McCullom & Moore to build a new school building, now known as Robert E. Lee Elementary, on the corner of Michigan Avenue (today’s Columbus Drive) and Morgan Street for $25,000 ($513,000 in today’s dollars).
