Sticks of Fire: a Tampa blog

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Friday Extra Concert Series. Paid for by the city and corporate sponsors, the free concerts are put on each Friday in the spring. This year the concerts begin this Friday, March 31, and I expect all of you to be out there to hear the great sounds of 360, followed by Tampa’s favorite rock band: Johnny G. Lyon and the JGLB.

All concerts are free to the public and will be held at the Lowry Park Bandshell, located near the intersection of Sligh Avenue and North Boulevard.

The Friday Extra Concert Series is produced by the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department. Event sponsors include the Arts Council of Hillsborough County, The Tampa Tribune, Q105 WRBQ-FM, Target Stores Family Grants, City of Tampa Office of Cable Communication, and Donovan Audio Designs.

Come by and meet Tommy Duncan and the rest of the gang on Friday, March 31 at 7pm at the Lowry Park Band Shell.  Seminole Heights blogger DS Banghart has already RSVP’d (by the way, check out the great anonymous comments there).
