advice needed
The rumors are true. I’m leaving all of you for fresh mountain air, wild animals, and (more than likely) mood stabilizers. My husband received a job offer in Colorado and, although I used every advantage to provide an adequate counter-offer, nothing presented itself here at home. Therefore, I must say goodbye to Tampa.
Hold your applause ‘til the end.
We will probably head for cowboy country sometime in June. However, before I go, I’d like to solicit Sticks readers’ thoughts regarding two important issues:
Rednecks v. Cowboys: Is there really a difference?
I kid. Much love for rednecks.
Seriously, I’m wondering if there is a method for picking a reputable moving company. The last one moved us from Boston to Wesley Chapel, stored our property in an uninsured facility and, when it burned to the ground, left us with an empty house and only a handful of wedding pictures. Avoiding a similar catastrophe this time would go a long way toward saving moodie drugs for when mountain temps dip into the single digits. Work with me, okay?
Also, what’s all this “For Sale by Owner” noise? Is going solo better than paying a realtor thousands of dollars to sell the house for you?
Opine away, peeps. I’m listening.

Here’s the difference: Cowboys raise animals. Rednecks get emotionally involved.

Go to emove.com. There you can read reviews on the moving company. And a FSBO will save you 6% on the sale of your house. All the documents you need are at your local Office Depot. You can usually find a mortgage company to advertise for you.

I resent the applause notion — we’ll all miss you Kate!
And the difference between Rednecks and Cowboys is that Rednecks have been portrayed as sodomite rapists in cinema while Cowboys have just been exposed as Gay (insert “quit you” jokes here)

Rednecks v. Cowboys: Cowboys have a wife and a job, rednecks have a restraining order and unemployment checks.

Best wishes, Kate. I bet you won’t find anything to write about in Colorado… (insert smirk here.)
Seriously, Florida’s loss is the Rockies’ gain.
Cheers.
