You know all Tampa women are beautiful. The guys, though, uh - not so much.
I’m sure you’ve heard about TBT*’s search for a cover model. I was looking through the entries, trying to think of something witty and sexist to say. Then I had a flash of brilliance: Why not give our men-lovin’ readers some beefcake instead?
Well, I’m sad to report that the pickin’s are slim. Turns out that the top twenty four vote getters are all women.
Twelve of the bottom 18 are guys. And for good reason. Here are your top three male vote-getters thus far (hint: the contestants chose their own names):

Good luck to all contestants (except the guys). Can’t say I’d qualify for the cover, but like Samuel L. says in Pulp Fiction, “Dogs got personality and personality goes a long way!”
I guess this is one more way TimesLite is trying to set itself apart from Weekly Planet and every other paper in town.

I don’t get it. What’s wrong with those guys? They’re in better physical shape than a lot of the girls and they’re not relying on plastic parts, either. They’re not really what anyone was thinking when “swimsuit model” comes to mind, but they’re just really fit guys rockin’ what they got.
I ain’t mad at all.
