texas hold ‘em in tampa
Reader Diana Asks a Tampan:
I just moved here from Atlanta and am looking for places (bars) that have Texas hold ’em tounaments for ”bar cash” or house credit. Atlanta had a lot of places where it was free to play and if you won the tourney you won credit towards your next tab. I would prefer anything close to New Port Richey.
Obviously, Diana has mastered Texas Hold ‘em, and has been kicked out of every place (bar) in Atlanta for winning too often. So now she wants to take your money. I do know that in Town ‘n’ Country, the Rock ‘n’ Hard Cafe holds such tournaments every Sunday evening. Maybe you folks know of other places?

I think I remember the police somewhere in FL busting some bars for this. Their point of view is that it is no different than playing for cash since the tab is of cash value.
