redner to run for county commish?
tommySince that last news tip worked out well, I may as well share another one. But this time, we’ll know if we are wrong in a couple weeks.
It turns out Redner’s myspace page we talked about may have his blessing. Joe Redner is considering a run for County Commission. Again. This time he’ll likely try for the county-wide District 5 seat of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. He has not yet officially filed, but insiders say you might see that within the next two weeks.
Just by looking at his outdated website, you can see Redner has campaigned for a seat on the BOCC as well as the Tampa City Council in the past. This time it’s District 5 and a run up against Jim Norman.

You would think so. Redner has TV spots running already… “I’m Joe Redner. What is your opinion.”
Not gonna help. Norman will crush him.
The Count Commission may not be perfect, but it certainly isn’t Norman’s fault.

Well, realistically, can Joe Redner be much worse for Hillsboco than Jim Norman? If he was on the board now I wonder if he’d be able to keep our two resident catty clotheshorses in line? It would certainly be amusing to watch him try.

redner can and shd be on the county commish -hed be the only sane one - but he wont get elected in a million years. hes so bored being rich.

Pam Iorio and I were at a social function Monday night. I told her I had voted for her every election, even campaigned for her when she ran for Supervisor of Elections. She was ever so grateful for my support. Was I ever feeling smug… and then the bubble burst. My significant other piped in and said “Yeah, she voted for Ronda Storms (Mayor rolls eyes) and Joe Redner too (Mayor smirks)! I shrugged my shoulders and replied “What can I say, I have a sense of humor!!” I, like Addison, wanted those two on the County Commission together!! I will vote for Joe again.

this man makes his money off women prostituting themselves. and yes, some of the girls who work there are underage (fake IDs). Joe Redner hopes your daughter uses drugs and drops out of school. that way, maybe she will work for him. I had an opportunity to observe this man closely when I worked for him years ago. He does not care about people. He uses people and discards them when he’s through, and his dancers are certainly no exception. He’s a pimp. Not very long ago at all, a pimp, who makes his money off prostitutes, was held in the lowest esteem. I support legalization of prostitution, but I still hate slimy pimps.

You hate slimey pimps — what about introverted, intolerant, bigoted, egotistical clowns like Ronda and Brian? They are slimey in their own way.
I’d love to see Redner on one side and those two clowns on the other — it’s not because we believe in Joe but it’s the polar opposite of the political spectrum than what those two aforementioned clowns stand for.

Redner is a joke. He has become the perennial 1st place joke of Hillsborough County politics, a position for which he has had a lot of hard-core competition. He’s a porn and strip tease lover; then we learn he’s a gay rights advocate; and then we learn he’s been married to a woman and has a daughter both of whom the cops accuse of prostitution in one of the worst neighborhoods in Tampa.
