one drops out, one climbs in
The Times is reporting that Deborah Cope has dropped out of the race for County Commission District 1. She says she does not have the money to compete with the likes of Rose Ferlita, who has over $200,000.
Cope had managed to collect $6,000 in contributions. Wayne Garcia told us how all the candidates are doing in the money race. Meanwhile, Steven Eckstein declared his candidacy Monday.
The leading Democrat is Mary Mulhern with contributions of over $11,000.
The Tampa Tribune has financial updates for the other races for BOCC.
