westshore now south of downtown
May 13, 1971 – Signs on Interstate 4 were converted to read Interstate 75 on all points west of the interchange in downtown Tampa. The change marked a nearly three-year old redesignation of the east-west highway from I-4 to I-75. Today, the stretch once known both as I-4 and I-75 is Interstate 275.
