Even though plenty of people will be moving into downtown, they are still going to have to drive to get to stores. The Trib reports that retailers are waiting for actual customers before opening stores.
When all these buildings get built, it will be interesting to see how many people will live there, and how many owners are just flippers.

flippers in most areas are gone (well the good ones) it remains to be seen if these places will have the appreciation required to make flipping possible.

There are some places like SkyPoint where the contracts are not assignable. Too bad for people who actually want to live in these places and missed out on their “lottery”.

Flippers are okay so long as they eventually flip downward. In fact, I’m banking on that for myself.
