Hillsborough County ok’d the creation of a new affordable housing department. The new department will have a preliminary annual budget of $225,000, including $75,000 to $100,000 for the salary of a new “housing officer.”
What’s needed is a department to stop the formation of more departments.
Don’t get me wrong. Affordable housing is sorely lacking. But another layer of bureaucracy? Bah.
