gambling hall holdup
110 years ago…
June 12, 1896 – A daring robbery occurred in Ybor City when bandits struck a gambling den in Ybor City. Three men, armed with knives, entered the gaming hall and threatened the crowd to turn over all of their money. The men made off with $155 dollars ($3,434 in today’s dollars), but were captured by police that evening.
