seminole heights to get four bungalows

June 20, 1911 – A meeting is held in the office of Giddens Mabry to discuss the “first developments and improvements to be made in “Seminole Heights.” One of the first orders of business was the approval to pave Wilder and Giddens Streets with shell from the Little Manatee River, most likely from a pre-Columbian Native American mound. Construction of four bungalows would start within forty days, with the company boasting of selling $7,000 ($138,500 in today’s dollars) worth of lots during the previous work.
