tampa film crew needs your vote

Thanks in part to Samsung Mobile, groups of ten teens from different cities have ONE WEEK to create a short (ten minute) film, and then go head to head with each other to pick the best film. Teens have been making Fresh Films since 2002, and they have come up with a few that have opened at various film festivals world-wide.

A group of Tampa teens have created “How to Waste a Saturday Afternoon.” It’s a mystery thriller. The Tampa crew is up against counterparts from Austin, and a movie called “true story.” If you’ve got 20 minutes to spare, go watch both films and vote for Tampa your favorite. If you have ten minutes, watch the Tampa film and then vote for it. If you only have a few seconds, just go vote for the kids from Tampa.

By the way, I would have linked to each page within Fresh Films, but they use the dastardly FLASH gimmick.  To see the kids’ blogs, click the “filmmakers” tab.  Voting began yesterday around noon, and ends Wednesday, July 12 around noon.  Now go vote!

Wow!!! That was pretty good. Technology sure has come a far way since my buddies and I made this for a freshman year health class.
