a better map of the beltway
Thursday I tried to guess the route of the proposed beltway. I should have waited a day. While I was busy wasting time and energy with that, T-HEA released the exact planned route. The Tribune published the map at the top of today’s story.

I know some of our more conservative readers (read Jim, Jason) are going to bark that what I say is wrong but…
What the hell happene dto trying to endorse conservation and alternative means of transit? All this does is open up more land for development. If it was a commuter rail link (not light rail, not a high speed train), I wouldn’t have a problem but it’s more of the same — and everyone knows what happens when they simply build new roads in florida — they just open up more space for developers and more traffic jams.
