Now, if only Media in the Mirror would follow suit), and wish Steve Spears and Stuck in the 80’s many more happy blogiversaries!

Media in the Mirror needs changing in the worst way. Lately all it looks like is a place for Deggans to promote himself. Maybe it should be called “Eric and his Mirror” instead?

I used to hear alot of complaints about the Bill Heard Chevy in Sugarland, TX (just south of Houston). Looks like the chain is all the way across the south. None of the BBB files seem to be satisfactory.

I’m not so sure the self-promotion on Deggans’ site is a bad thing. A lot of journo-blogs wind up as overkill, running the same stories already printed as a standard piece.
MITM feels more like an actual blog; it just so happens that a media person writing about media will have to talk about himself from time to time, especially when he does interviews on CNN and the like.
He also uses the blog as a way to include information that didn’t make its way into the regular stories. I rather like the blog as outtakes reel approach.

You may also want to know that several bloggers participated in the annual Blogathon for charity. This was Saturday July 30. We stayed up all night, blogged once every 30 minutes for 24 hours all for a seleced charity. Known Bay Area blogs that participated were:
