200K to be spent for study
Over a year ago, Ronda Storms said it would be “a cold day in hell” before she gives a nickel to HARTline. So The Transit Authority met with the commission and Commissioner Storms couldn’t make it. They ok’d a proposal to spend $200,000 to determine the cost of extending the streetcar up Franklin St. to Whiting. A year and a half ago, it was thought to have cost about $7million. Best of luck getting the details, because the Tribune takes stories offline after a while, so the original article is nowhere to be found.
Regardless of the number they come up with now, don’t be surprised if the real cost is double the amount. The streetcar has a history of making people underestimate the final price tag.

Interesting, Storms said she can’t debate her opponents because of a Commission meeting. The Commission must hold many meetings on Thurday nights. Who knew?
