skippyThe Independents Film Festival started on September 8. Here are a few events you should catch if you are out and about.
Tonight you can attend the Independents’ Film Festival Gala - 7pm at the Tampa Theatre to view the “Best of the Fest.” The theater will showcase festival winners for 2006 in both the Independent category and student films. The cost is only $7.50 for general admission, $6.50 for students and senior citizens.
Saturday September 16th at noon, Junior Fest showcases efforts by schoolage children all over the bay area. This event is at Channelside Cinemas and costs NOTHING!
Sunday, September 17th Best Feature Film will be showing at Channelside Cinemas @ 7pm for the same low price of $7.50, $6.50 for students and senior citizens
You can reserve your tickets online to ensure you have a spot, or pay at the box offices.

Here’s hoping the wailing over the Sunrise Cinemas closing ceases soon. My back still hurts some from the last time I was there. Never have that trouble at Channelside! Just sayin’ is all.
