meet lisa ciurro
Finding it exhausting to be both beautiful and brilliant, Lisa Ciurro buried herself in books and movies at a young age. She attempted to reintegrate into society in the late 90s, but found that her social skills had withered from lack of use. She accepted her inner wallflower, bought a computer and devoted herself to the blogosphere.
A corporate drone by day, Lisa reviews and writes about books and movies on her blogs Tampa Film Fan and Tampa Book Buzz. She also guest blogs at the popular local blog Sticks of Fire and the Orlando site Flicks on Fairbanks. In 2005, tbt* named her one of the best local bloggers. A member of the Florida Bibliophile Society and the Tampa Writers Alliance, Lisa recently served as a judge for the 2006 Independents’ Film Festival. In September 2006, her blog Tampa Book Buzz was a runner-up for Best Local Blog in the Weekly Planet’s Best of the Bay contest.
In between being quoted in the Tampa Tribune and speaking to local writers’ groups, Lisa works on her MySpace page, updates her Netflix queue, eats too much junk food and watches Law & Order reruns on TNT.

Dawn — That’s so sweet! Thanks.
Kate — Looks can be deceiving, you know.
I’m bringing my camera to your Passion Party…let’s see what my next posted pic looks like!
M — Tommy asked all of his writers to submit a bio of themselves, I swear! I didn’t just post this out of nowhere for attention. If I had, I wouldn’t have posted such a HUGE photo of myself. Talk about your scary Halloween decorations…
(Tommy — Please consider adding a note from you that bios of your other writers are forthcoming or something like that to make me look less crazy…and conceited. Thanks!)
