six hurt at amusement park
November 12, 1956 – A miniature train, pulling a string of passenger cars loaded with adults and children at the Super Test Amusement Park, overturns amid the squeals and screams of the riders. At least six were hurt in the accident according to police. The train ride, a favorite of children at the park located on Columbus Drive and Dale Mabry Highway, had been in operation for over two years without incident. Hundreds of people gathered at the site of the wreck when they saw ambulances turning into the amusement park.
