cleveland: our river is now fire-free

I don’t get how people are always rippin’ on Florida considering how screwed up Ohio is. Cincinnati elected Jerry Springer mayor. Cleveland’s river was so polluted it caught on fire. Dayton and Columbus are the dumps (they make Jacksonville look like Paris). And don’t forget the Browns, the punching bag of the AFC North.

Two of the best basketball players to come out of Ohio (LeBron and Greg Oden) both look ten years older than they really are. I thought this was an abnormality until I remembered my buddy Plugs. Plugs is like 24 or 25 but he looks…well, they say a picture is worth a 1,000 years. But that has nothing to do with football. On to the heart of the preview….

Brown to Watch: Derek Anderson

Kellen “F-ing Soldier” Winslow is the tempting choice here but I’ll go with the third-time starting quarterback no one has ever heard of. Although how bad have things gotten in Cleveland? They just got done learning about their first obscure quarterback (Charlie Frye), now they have a new obscure quarterback leading the team. As bad as things might get here in Tampa Bay it’s comforting to know we’re not as bad off as Cleveland. Plus we have beaches and sunshine. Suck it.

Buc to Watch: Mike Alstott

We’re heading into the A-Trains last two games with the Bucs (maybe), and in honor of one of the Bucs greatest players we (and by we I mean I) are going into all Mike Alstott, all the time mode. Which means plenty of posts on how great Mike Alstott is, why he should have won the Heisman at Purdue, and me blowing a train whistle everytime one of my roommates cleans the dishes or vacuums (so never).

If Gruden does not play Alstott he should definitely be fired after this season. ’nuff said.
