tampa party scene snags miss nevada
Miss Nevada USA 2007 was stripped of her crown this week.
Katie Rees was born in Pinellas County, and apparently was a bit of a party girl - or at least she was for one night five years ago. Photos of Rees flashing herself and kissing girls right here in Tampa (in front of Donovan Audio!) made their way to the internets, and pageant officials were appalled enough to send her on her merry way.
By the way, the Miss Nevada Pageant wants you to know that there is a big difference between Miss Nevada and Miss Nevada USA, and so there:
Please note that the young woman who lost her title is “Miss Nevada USA 2007″, Katie Rees, NOT our Miss Nevada 2007 Caydi Cole. We have received a lot of messages and hope this post will clear up the confusion.
In any case, we here in the Sticks are certain that Ms. Rees is mostly harmless, and would like to invite her to see Tampa’s best rock band perform at the Blue Shark in Ybor City this weekend and to extend our sincere disappointment in the pageant’s decisions.

I, personally, am still waiting for Miss Lipstick Lesbian USA. Stop! Stop, I say, persecuting the blameless, drunken straight girls who pose lesbian-ly. Hmmmm, maybe Brighthouse will start carrying the Logo channel and I can start my petition.

I am not sure which I find more ridiculous, the pageant rules which will penalize the girl for something she did five years before she won the pageant, the media for salivating over the chance to link to pictures of a half naked chick under the guise of journalism without ever asking “Who would have kept these photos for five years only to publish them after she wins a title and they can hurt her the most?”, gay rights groups who don’t blink when kissing another girl is considered immoral, or us for eating this crap up.

Actually, the pageant decision keeps with their stated values.
What people are saying is they don’t agree with those values, but it doesn’t mean Miss Nevada isn’t subject to acting in accordance with them.
Their game, their rules.
Besides, look at the body language in those pictures. The posturing indicates nothing but an interest in the camera.
Bisexuality has become this insane thing that girls use to generate attention, and it’s pathetic.
Does anyone think that Katie Rees goes to bars and makes out with girls because she really wants to make out with girls or is it more likely because there’s attention from guys involved?
I’m pretty sure performing sexual acts solely for manipulation and attention is called being a whore.
And a whore ain’t what I want my daughter emulating or my son dating.
Maybe we wouldn’t be such a wreck about sex on the whole if people just got down for the right reason, i.e., mutual attraction.
