ready for the party

January 8, 2007 | android9 | Leave your thoughts!

A hearty congratulations goes out to Lee Nelson (yep – THAT Lee Nelson) for winning a pair of tickets to a Lightning game. He knew that Tampa’s first mayor was Judge Joseph B. Lancaster.

We also asked you about the first gasoline powered vehicle in Tampa, and Tampa Tribune movie critic Bob Ross knew that Fred Ferman (you know the Ferman Auto Dealership) and his employee, Victor James built the first one here in 1899.

We have more tickets to give away this week. Take a look:

Party Ready .07

These mannequins hang out in the same place every day, somewhere in Tampa Bay. Sometimes they change their clothes – late last month they were dressed as Mr. & Mrs. Claus! Now they look like they are ready for a party!

If you can tell me where this well-dressed couple can be found, you could be the winner of a pair of tickets to see Jobsite Theater’s All The Great Books (Abridged) at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center on Friday evening, January 12 at 10pm. Go leave your answers at the contest answer page!
