The Diviner’s will be one of the opening acts at the Bobby Bare Jr. show @ New World Brewery this weekend. This is a repost from a post I made a few months back on ninebullets:

The Diviners

from their bio: “It’s easy to fill a room with music; just ask Godsmack. It’s much harder to fill a room with emotion…” When The Diviners play, by the end of the second song everyone is paying attention….whether you came to the bar for the band or not. the songs demand you listen to them and once you do they will stick to you like cigarette smoke and whiskey breath. IMO, easily the best band in the Tampa Bay area…so go check out the tunes on their myspace site and their web site and see if I’m lying. There are 2 tracks, including my favorite “Hallowed Ground” available on their web site that are not available on the myspace site.

Recommended myspace tracks: Navasota and Remember the Beatnicks

I hope to see some of y’all Sunday!

Everyone loves Samuel L. Jackson…..right? Have you heard about the new movie starring Mr. Jackson and Christina Ricci? It’s called Black Snake Moan and is written by the same folks that did Hustle and Flow. Well, ol’ Samuel does a few songs on the soundtrack and if you are a fan of the blues or have ever wondered what a blues song by Samuel L. Jackson would sound like check out this post on ninebullets.net. Good times for sure.

  1. Jason Says:

Black Snake Moan looks like a recruitment video for the KKK. Jackson plays a pretty creepy Kathy Bates in Misery kind of character though.

    Great show last night!!!
