Avant-Garde in the Now is a concentrated expression of Tampa Bay’s next and current generations of artists.

In participants, we look for artists who believe their works should push boundaries, seed the mainstream with new ideas, and make lasting changes on popular culture. Regardless of method or medium, we exist to influence and inspire.

a personal note from Autopsy IV: The Plight of Mildred

Dogs are simple…but they still have their hopes and dreams. Midred is my dog….and being a bulldog, she is more simple than most but she still has dreams. Mildred’s dream is to be on a Jones Soda label.

Help Mildred achieve her dream by voting for her.

Sant’ Yago Knight Parade doesn’t need an alternative. The last criticism was over the top and I don’t think this blog isn’t offensive. You are entitled to your opinion. It’s a little disappointing you disregard the history and tradition of Knight Parade events so quickly. The Family Fiesta of daytime fun runs from 2 to 6 p.m. in front of the Florida Aquarium, with entertainment, skateboard demos, inflatables, games and contests. Even when the parade begins, it gets a little rowdier, but is still all in good fun.

I’ve been here three years, and the only history and tradition I’ve seen in the night parade is floppy boobs and vomit. Which means I wouldn’t miss it for anything!

I’m joking. My alternative is going to the Jobsite show at the TBPAC.

But hey, you don’t think this blog isn’t offensive, which means we’re doing our job. I think. I’m actually entirely uncertain of what you mean by that.
