brown v. citro v. dingfelder
That’s right Julie Brown, Joseph Citro, and incumbent John Dingfelder are all vying for the City Council seat to represent District 4. District 4 is South Tampa, including the SoHo District. Our friends at SoHoTampa.com have been watching this race pretty closely, and with the help of Tampa Digital Studios, they have just put together a candidate forum. There’s gonna be a
SHOWDOWN IN SOHO
In conjunction with Tampa Digital Studios, three local websites - SOHOTampa.com, Sticks of Fire, and TampaGold.com - will provide a one hour forum this Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 10am.
The participants invited are the City Council Candidates for District 4 - Julie Brown, Joseph Citro, and John Dingfelder. Two of the 3 candidates have stated plans to attend so far.
The entire one hour showdown will be broadcast online live with audio and video and will be available at both TAMPAGOLD.com and SOHOTAMPA.com (at least through election day).
Along with Roger Grunke, former County Commissioner Ed Turanchik, and Duane Dobbins, I have been chosen to be a panelist at the forum. Since I want to know the same things YOU want to know, I encourage you to leave your questions for the candidates right here in my comments.
Thanks to Mr. Bill at SoHoTampa.com and the great folks at Tampa Digital Studios for throwing this thing together.

My question is, which two are we talking about? Because I don’t care if it’s just Citro and another candidate. If Brown and Dingfelder aren’t both there, it’s a basically worthless exercise. Yes, they can air whatever issues they want, but Citro isn’t realistically in contention.

It is my understanding that the entire panel at the debate will consist of Dingfelder supporters. Is this true? If so, does this sound like a fair forum? Perhaps the online audience should know the political leanings of each of the panelists (including the “non-partisan” Ed Turanchik).

couldn’t someone get him to GO AWAY?
Ask her about the Kuhn stuff and the investigation. hehe
And ask her about Bing Kearney.
Why is the panel so lop-sided?

I would like to know if re-elected what will Dingfelder do differently? If you watch the commission meetings (which I openly admit I am a political junkie) you will see he could gave a rats behind until it’s election time. It is time to get new blood in the commission.
As for Candidate Brown, I would like to know what she plans to bring to the table as her “pet issue”. All politicians have them, and I think she should name hers.
As for Citro, I think it’s a not a chance in this life time run.
Just my two cents.

Glad to hear the discussion. Concerning the panelists: One of the four panelists has contributed to the Dingfelder campaign and will be so identified at the forum. Two of the four are undecided. The third has not stated their opinion. At the start of the forum, each panelist will be introduced and asked to state whether they have contributed to or volunteered in any of the three campaigns.
As moderator, I have not contributed to or done any work on behalf of any of the campaigns.
The opportunity for you to see and hear the candidates online is up to you to take advantage of. We are happy to team up with Tampa Digital Studios and E-Solutions to make this possible for you. Again, should you miss the live broadcast, it will be available for later viewing from links on Sticks, TampaGold.com and SOHOTampa.com.

Here is a site that has more info on Bing Kearney, he is the local real estate developer that is being sued for hiring derelict dump truck drivers and overloading his company dump trucks.
