At today’s regular Board meeting, the Hillsborough County Commission unanimously voted to support free HART bus service on regular routes in the County for residents aged 65 and older. The proposal will be referred for consideration and possible implementation to the HART Authority, which manages the mass transit system in Hillsborough County.
The agenda item was initiated by Commissioner Brian Blair, who introduced the item by saying “Our seniors deserve a break.”

Now if only HART’s buses 1) went somewhere and 2) got there in a reasonable timespan.

I agree I take the buses to classes, and work and they are never on time, and take a long time to get to where you are going.
Of course Blair is also trying to get votes for when so he can re-elected after his term is up. But he will not stand a chance against Kevin Beckner.
