valrico crash - 13 cars, one dead
Brandie Voss is 34 and she was in a hurry. She was the driver of a 2000 Dodge pickup traveling through Valrico. She cut in and out of lanes on Highway 60, and well on her way to getting “there” first. Unfortunately, she lost control and struck another vehicle.
Her truck hit one or two more vehicles, which threw those into even more automobiles. And a dump truck. In all, there were 13 vehicles involved. Seven of those were totalled - four cars, two pickups and the dump truck. Oh, and a 60 year old woman from Apollo Beach was KILLED.
The Times article says one of the drivers who must now get his car fixed overheard the driver of the truck telling a friend that she had been trying to change a CD when she lost control.
Stupid.

I do feel sorry for her. That’s a heavy burden to carry for a lifetime. At some point in life, she will feel the abruptly curel loss of a loved one, and then she will truly understand what pain she has inflicted on others. And there won’t be a damn thing she can do to make it right.

I was the first person to get to the truck with driver L and passanger Janet Clayton. I held Jan Claytons head up for 25 mins while rescue workers cut them out of the truck. HEr friend Lorain/louise (might be getting her name wrong) was very brave during the whole thing. I have NEVER seen such carnage. The whole thing happend in front of my brother David Fontana and I. I thought for sure Jan was going to make it. I praied the whole time. I broke down when I learned that she didn’t. I still have my blood staind jeans with glass form the truck still in the pocket. I felt like I got to know her and her friend in that 25 long mins. I would like to see her firend again. I’m so sorry about the out come.

I cannot believe that Brandie Voss of 10414 CONE GROVE RD in Riverview, FL.Was ARRESTED AGAIN! Another Victim! Why is she freely walking the streets? She is wreckless and DANGEROUS! Here is the recent report from 9/27/08. My heart goes out to her victims, the fact that her father was a plice officer should never be an excuse to ‘get away’ with it. I know people who have lost parents before but never use that as an excuse to harm others as she does!!! How many more victims till Justice is served?!!!
Here’s the link, contact the local Hillsborough police and your state rep, tell them they cannot allow to justice to fall through…she has victims after victims but STILL walking the streets! Her lawyer is also listed on the page…the Claytons need justice they will never get their mother back! BTW, her newest victim was also a mother, she appears to like ruining families and bringing heartbreak and injury to others.

I am one of Janice Clayton’s children and I want to thank everyone who has prayed for the family. I want to thank you Matt for being there to help Mom and her sister-in-law Louise during such a horrible time. I know you gave them both comfort and words cannot express my thanks for your kindness. As for Ms. Voss, words cannot express my rage and anger for her wreckless, selfish act of pure stupidity. Words cannot express my disgust at the injustice that has occurred and the fact that she is still out on the streets doing the same thing to other families. I believe in karma and trust that she will get what is coming to her, in the meantime, I will fight for justice for my Mom. Thanks also to you Anne for providing the link. Seeing that woman’s face really hit me hard and brought back some very raw emotions for me. She’s a murderer — no other way to look at it.
